MTSU AWARDS TRANSFER ACADEMIC SERVICE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2007-08

(MURFREESBORO)—Middle Tennessee State University representatives recently announced that there are 29 recipients of the Transfer Academic Service Scholarships award for the 2007-08 academic year.
Transfer Academic Service Scholarships are awarded to transfer students who apply for admission by Feb. 15 and have a 3.0 or higher grade-point average and have earned at least 45 hours after the prior fall term.

MTSU remains one of the fastest-growing universities in the state. The official spring 2007 enrollment was 21,296. More than 22,000 students are expected to attend this fall.
MTSU’s minimum entrance requirement for freshmen is a 3.0 high school GPA or a 22 on the ACT, or a combined minimum of 2.7 GPA and ACT of 19.

A recent study conducted by Newsweek surveyed 375 counselors from across the country and stated that MTSU offers one of the nation’s best educational values in the country.
