MTSU MUSIC SCHOOL PRESENTS FACULTY CELLO RECITAL
March 16 Performance Free & Open to the Public, Community Encouraged to Attend

(MURFREESBORO)—The MTSU School of Music will present a faculty cello recital featuring Xiao-fan Zhang at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 16, in the T. Earl Hinton Music Hall of the Wright Music Building on the MTSU campus.
Zhang will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s Suite No.3 in C major, Zoltán Kodály’s Duo for Violin and Violoncello and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Serenade in D major for Op.8. String.
Zhang received his early musical training in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenyang and earned a master's degree in music performance from the University of South Carolina. He also has studied at the Aspen Music School and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute.
Currently a cellist with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, Zhang— prior to joining the orchestra—regularly performed with the Columbus Symphony, the Cincinnati Symphony, the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, respectively.
The March 16 performance is free and open to the public.
