A special workshop designed for parents, “C.A.N. Part 2,” will provide an in-depth look at multisensory teaching and learning for children with the reading disability dyslexia on Saturday, March 10, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The C.A.N. workshop—which stands for “Contemplate, Advocate, Navigate”—will be held at the Tennessee Center for the Study and Treatment of Dyslexia, located at 200 N. Baird Lane on the MTSU campus. Attendance at Part 1 of the “Dyslexia Success Series” workshop is not required.

Organizers say the interactive class will offer specific multisensory learning tools for parents to take home as well additional resources to learn more about multisensory learning and how it can help children with dyslexia.

The cost is $25 per person, and space is limited to 24 participants. Breakfast and take-home materials are included, and reservations are required. Call 615-494-8880 for more information.
