MTSU PROFESSOR REVEALS HOW TO WIN GAME OF COLLEGE
Dr. Ryan Otter to Share Advice in Free Discussion in Chattanooga

MURFREESBORO—“Succeed in College: Strategies for Success,” a free interactive seminar by MTSU’s Dr. Ryan Otter, is slated for Tuesday, March 20, in the sanctuary of Silverdale Baptist Church at 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga.

The seminar is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

Otter, author of “How to Win at the Game of College: Practical Advice from a College Professor” and an assistant professor of biology at MTSU, will provide practical strategies students can use to succeed at the college level.

Otter’s premise is that most high-school students and their parents see college as an extension of high school instead of a completely different experience. He cites this as one reason roughly half of all college students do not graduate within six years and 45 percent of Hope Lottery Scholarship recipients lose their stipends by their sophomore year.

This seminar will be presented in association with Silverdale Baptist Academy. For more information, contact Otter at 615-898-2847 or rrotter@mtsu.edu or visit www.thecollegegameproject.org.
